EDUCATIONAL CBD AND SEX, A CONNECTION?

For many, taking time out to enjoy oneself sexually, alone or with a partner, can be a difficult task. Often, it’s not through lack of desire, but more a case of brain overload. Many couples and working individuals lead fast-paced, complex lives. Throw in a few social media platforms and the ability for anyone to reach you at a moment’s notice, and suddenly being able to really clear your head and enjoy yourself becomes a tall order. Even if you don’t fall into one of those categories, who doesn’t want more intimate, relaxed sexual experiences?

CBD could be the aid to just that, a more intimate experience with your partner. Or even the chance to just unwind properly before experiencing sexual pleasure. This isn’t about forced scenarios or scheduling out a whole evening to really focus, but much more of a holistic approach. CBD can be naturally and discreetly incorporated into your sex life through a variety of applications. Available in liquid or capsule form, there is a method suitable for all users.

Chemical Link Between Human Orgasm And Cannabis Plant

How can cannabis be linked to the way we feel and the chemical reactions that occur when we orgasm? The answer to that lies in something that is inside all humans, the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This is a complex network of neurochemical pathways located in the brain, central nervous system, and peripheral organs. When these pathways are stimulated by cannabinoids, the key components within cannabis, there can be a variety of positive effects.

It is this manipulation of the endocannabinoid system which has peaked interest in scientists. An experiment published in The Journal Of Sexual Medicine last year looked to investigate endocannabinoid levels in healthy male and female subjects before and after masturbation to orgasm. Endocannabinoids are the cannabinoids naturally produced by our own bodies. Interestingly, scientists found that there was an increase of endocannabinoid 2-AG (2-arachidonoylglycerol) post-orgasm in study participants.

Scientists deduced that the endocannabinoid system did, in fact, play a key part in the human sexual response. The caveat being that more research would be needed to establish what role 2-AG plays when it is released as part of sexual pleasure. Manipulation of this response through cannabinoids could kick-start the process, allowing users to replicate that “reward” chemical reaction.

Cannabinoid Receptors CB1 And CB2

The complexity of the endocannabinoid system comes down to the way it is stimulated. Stimulation is achieved via receptors throughout the system, namely CB1 and CB2. Each receptor is responsible for different chemical reactions and they both respond differently depending on their location in the body. Anandamide and 2-AG are now known to play a part in the “rewarding consequences of sexual arousal and orgasm”, showing us the importance of the endocannabinoid system in facilitating feelings of pleasure.

Relieves Sexual Anxiety And Stress

Understanding the ECS is one thing, but what practical application is there for reducing stress and anxiety? The feeling of being stressed carries with it a number of emotions. Fear, worry, and self-consciousness can all become prevalent when stressed, inhibiting your body’s natural ability to release chemicals like Anandamide and 2-AG. Knowing these play an essential role in experiencing pleasure, it is imperative we try to remove this stress and anxiety to truly feel intimate with our partners and ourselves.

CBD, a phytocannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, takes the limelight in this situation. This cannabinoid is known to relieve stress, yet it carries none of the psychoactive properties associated with THC. For many, sexual experiences while under the influence of a psychoactive substance are not ideal, whereas CBD leaves participants in complete control, but without all the anxiety.

Improves Communication And Vivid Thought

Whilst the ECS plays a part in pleasurable experiences, it is the sexual inhibition system (SIS) and the sexual excitation system (SES) which regulate sexual desire. Successful interaction between these two systems is what many people describe as being “in the mood”, a desire to engage sexually. As the names would indicate, the SIS is designed to inhibit our desire for sex whilst the SES is aimed at encouraging.

Improved communication and intimacy are driven by the strength of our desire. To that end, decreasing the activation of our SIS is essential. Stress actually strengthens the inhibiting abilities of the SIS, preventing the SES from stepping in.

Enhance And Energise

In addition to the aforementioned, several other factors can impact sexual enjoyment. One of those is erectile dysfunction, often a result of weakened blood flow and tissue damage. A potential influence in erectile dysfunction is the build-up of a toxin called dioxin. Promoted by dietary choices and environmental influences, removal of dioxin from the body can only be seen as beneficial. As diverse as we know CBD to be, it can also aid the body in flushing out dioxin, limiting its lingering presence in our fat cells.

Here’s How CBD Can Dramatically Improve Your Sex Life http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/heres-how-cbd-can-dramatically-improve-your-sex-life/ Tue, 14 Jul 2020 21:40:53 +0000 http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/?p=1665

Here’s How CBD Can Dramatically Improve Your Sex Life

Experts say pain relief, lowered stress levels, balanced hormones, and increased blood flow are going to amp things up in the bedroom.

Can CBD Impact Your Birth Control?

There’s CBD in your deodorant, your serum, and your toothpaste. Your grandma’s using it for her arthritis. Even IKEA put CBD in meatballs (ew, but OK). The “green boom” and legalization of cannabis across many states has resulted in the normalization of hemp-based supplements and with the mainstream embracing CBD. (Maybe you even have some in your medicine cabinet right now.)

Chances are, you’ve also seen an explosion of CBD topicals (lubricants, creams, gels, and suppositories) and ingestibles (capsules, gummies, and tinctures/oils) geared towards boosting your sex life and sexual wellness.

As it turns out, there are a number of applications cannabidiol can have in the bedroom, from managing your hormones to alleviating pain, and even to increase your libido (so… buckle up).

A disclaimer: After almost 100 years of everything cannabis-related being off-limits, there’s not a ton of human research to back up CBD’s medical claims. One reason? “CBD is still considered a Schedule 1 drug on the Controlled Substance Act and as such, researchers and scientists are prohibited in doing studies,” says Bonni Goldstein, M.D., medical advisor to Weedmaps, a site that connects cannabis consumers, patients, retailers, doctors, and brands. So although anecdotal evidence has swelled like a tsunami (a survey from Remedy Review reported 68 percent of people said CBD improved their sex life), we’re still (eagerly) waiting for clinical backup.

Ahead, a look at what we do know about CBD’s ability to boost libido, enhance orgasm, foster intimacy, and more.

Pain, Be Gone

One of the best-known uses of CBD is as an analgesic — it’s used to relieve pain. And this is a big deal for many women when it comes to sex. Dyspareunia (a blanket term for disorders leading to painful sex) is a barrier that keeps upwards of 40% of women from enjoying — or even experiencing — intimacy and experiencing pleasure, according to some estimates.

There are a number of ways topical CBD can help, explains Colleen Gerson, a functional medicine coach and herbalist at Foria, a CBD sexual wellness brand. Lubricants and suppositories can “enhance pleasure and libido by increasing blood flow, which increases lubrication and sensation, relaxing smooth muscle tissue, and easing tension,” Gerson explains.

This probably comes down to CBD’s well-known anti-inflammatory properties and ability to relax the muscles (less pain, inflammation, and tension would all contribute toward alleviating dyspareunia).

Citing six years of feedback from the Foria customer base, the anecdotal evidence for this use is astounding, Gerson says. (Seriously, read the reviews. Claims include it “saved my marriage”.) What’s more, in a 2019 survey conducted by Remedy Review of over 500 adults, 98 percent of those surveyed said CBD helped alleviate pain during sex.

Achieving Orgasm, Starring CBD

If the big O has been slightly out of reach (or less than satisfying), enter: cannabis. A 2019 review paper showed cannabis led to longer, more satisfying orgasms.

How? CBD can increase blood flow to tissues and improve nerve sensation, both of which can help make sex more pleasurable while intensifying an orgasm.

“There is anecdotal evidence to suggest that the direct application of CBD-infused lubricants to the genitalia increases blood flow to the area,” explains Robert Flannery, Ph.D. of Dr. Robb Farms. “An increase of blood flow to female genitalia has shown to increase sexual arousal and the intensity of orgasms. Both very good things.”

Less Stress, More Libido

When you’re stressed or anxious, sex is probably the farthest thing on your mind. Science confirms this, too — studies have shown that the stress hormone cortisol can lower your libido.

“It has been widely studied and shown that anxiety — both general and specific to sexual performance — limits a woman’s sexual arousal,” Dr. Flannery says. One of the biggest ways CBD consumption can help a woman’s sex life, especially for those suffering from sexual performance anxiety, is its ability to reduce anxiety (by triggering the serotonin receptor), he explains.

“By reducing cortisol and activating the PNS (parasympathetic nervous system), we’re going to drop into a more restful, receptive, sensually supportive capacity of the body,” adds Gerson. So if anxiety is getting in the way of your eh… extracurricular activities, consider CBD’s anxiolytic benefits as a potential solution.

Of note: this may just apply to women. One study showed that cannabinoids could potentially lower a man’s sex drive, though this particular study looked at marijuana (aka, all the cannabinoids, including THC), not just isolated CBD.

Balancing Hormone Levels = Higher Drive

CBD could potentially help your body balance hormone levels, which can increase sex drive. “The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) works overall to maintain homeostasis in the body, to regulate systems and organ function towards balance and harmony,” said Gerson. “So CBD’s relationship with our hormones and reproductive health is likely multifaceted, as ultimately a balanced body is fertile and vital (in it’s reproductive years).” She called hemp an “ally to hormone balance.”

This also comes down to how it (purportedly) helps the body deal with stress. In theory, if you manage bodily stress, your hormones will recalibrate as well. “While CBD can support some of the symptoms of hormone imbalance like pain, anxiety, or insomnia, it can also support via a key underlying root, stress,” says Gerson.

And FYI, if you’re open to it (and in a state where it’s legal), you might want to try THC, too, which may have an even greater impact than CBD to turn up the heat, Gerson adds.

Emotional Intimacy, Initiated

There’s another way CBD can improve your sex life: It can provide for a deeper emotional connection during intimacy.

Here’s how: “CBD increases the serum concentration of an endocannabinoid neurotransmitter called anandamide, which is closely associated with oxytocin, known as the ‘cuddle chemical,’ ‘hug hormone,’ ‘love hormone,’ or ‘moral molecule,’” Dr. Flannery explains. “Research has shown that an increase in anandamide during social contact, including a sexual experience, increases the pleasure of said contact.”

“The etymology of the word ‘anandamide’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘ananda,’ which translates to ‘joy, bliss, delight,’” he adds (sounds very kama sutra-esque). “This might give some insight as to what it can do.”

1. Dildos

While they might seem almost quaint in comparison to all the vibrating, high-tech, action-packed toys available now, dildos remain a classic that plenty of women and even more men are super into. “I’ve seen people move from secrecy, silence, and shame into an open, cool, and trendy attitude toward sex toys of all kinds, from dildos to anal beads,” says clinical sexologist Marlene Wasserman, DHS. “I like when people stretch their sexual boundaries to leave their comfort zones, which can turn into a wonderful feeling of personal success and newly discovered pleasures—or dislikes. Either way, you’re learning something about your body and your partner.”

If you’re looking for the feeling of penetration that’s closest to a real penis, dildos are the way to go. They come in a variety of shapes, lengths, and widths, so take those into account when you’re shopping (some women may find that slightly curved ones are better at getting them off, since they’ll give your clit and G-spot more direct action), and consider using them both vaginally and anally. “My ex liked to dabble with a dildo—for him, not me!” says Audrey, age 30, of Los Angeles. “I wasn’t that into it; I prefer real D or a vibrator while we’re going at it, but he seemed to like the novelty and forbidden feeling of the dildo.”

2. Butt Plugs

Consider butt plugs your introduction to anal play. “Anal toys are popular with women even though they have no prostate or nerves to directly cause orgasm within the anus, they can be a huge mental turn-on,” says Wasserman. “If you’re a beginner, start with a shower and get clean beforehand, and then have your partner stimulate you with his fingers—or tongue, if he’s adventurous—before inserting a plug, vibrator, or beads.” She also suggests using latex gloves or condoms on fingers for cleanliness and anal lube for comfort and glide.

“I’ve found the key to introducing toys, whether anal ones, clamps, or otherwise, is all about expectation-setting and preparation,” says Katie, age 30, of New York City. “I mean, butt plugs are honestly a bit scary looking—even if they’re pastel pink—and if your partner’s only knowledge about using them is from porn, the night probably won’t end well. I like to get in teacher mode to walk them through how it feels for me as we’re doing it. And it never hurts to get comfortable with the toy solo beforehand, to explore how your body reacts.”

3. Nipple Clamps

Attaching these guys to your nips hurts—but it’s supposed to. So much of BDSM play is about the hurts-so-good kind of pain that can be a super-hot sensation for many people, if for no reason other than the fact that it’s so different from what we feel on an everyday basis.

Says Sarah, 27, of London, “It’s when my boyfriend takes the clamps off that it hurts the most—and I love it. The blood comes racing back into my nipples after being cut off, and it feels incredible. But don’t leave them on for too long, or you can cut off circulation to your nipples!” Many clamps come with fancy features like adjustable pressure, a vibrating option, and waterproof coating, but Sarah says she’s heard that clothespins can be just as effective, if you don’t want to buy real ones.

4. Vibrators

These should be your go-to sex toy, for solo and couple’s play, says Wasserman. “I suggest that women have a variety of vibrators—different shapes, sizes, and types of stimulators to match their mood and whatever sensation they’re looking for at that moment. Sometimes you might want a big, vibrating dildo that you can thrust at your own tempo, and other times you might want to use a vibrating butt plug.” Don’t worry that using a vibrator regularly will overstimulate your clit or mess with your ability to come with a good, old-fashioned penis—“that’s a myth,” says Wasserman. “It’s women’s responsibility to find what does it for them and be sexually vulnerable. Sex toys tend to predictably bring women to orgasm, so go ahead and use them!”

“My boyfriend and I had a perfectly good sex life, but bringing my vibrator into the mix stepped things up a notch,” says Amy, 29, of New York City. “Sometimes it takes me a really long time to come from regular sex, whereas that’s rarely the case for him. When we don’t have the time or energy for an hours-long sesh, the vibrator comes to the rescue by getting me off faster and with less work on both our parts.”

5. Handcuffs

Handcuffs are more about the mental and emotional turn-on than the physical sensation, says Wasserman. “It can be very arousing to discuss the scene you’ll set up and get the necessary consent,” she says. “It’s fabulous fantasy play and gaining more popularity because of recent exposure and normalization in the media.”

Just be careful—if you’re going for a super-authentic prisoner fantasy that involves real metal cuffs, they can hurt. “Soft, cushy ones are a must,” says Jen, 30, of Rutland, Vermont. “I love feeling a little out of control when my partner cuffs me up—especially when every other part of my life requires effort and attention.”

6. Clitoral Massagers

For women who have a tough time coming from other sex toys (or partners, even) a vibrator that focuses purely on stimulating the most sensitive part of your vagina could be the silver bullet. Wasserman is a big fan of women advocating for their clits. “Distressingly, men don’t spend enough time on clitoral play, and women remain silent about their clitoral needs,” she says. “Use your clitoral massager while being thrusted; use it afterward when you’re swollen and he’s fallen asleep; let him or her see you using it so it becomes a couple activity,” she suggests.

“I used to think I wasn’t able to orgasm, because nothing seemed to work on my clit,” says Emily, 30, of Boston. “A clitoral stimulator—which I now own several of—changed that. They rock my world every time, and the rest of my sex toy collection goes pretty much unused now.” Sold yet?

7. Anal Beads

Slightly different from butt plugs in that they insert one individual bead at a time, rather than smoothly and gradually like a plug, anal beads provide a pop feeling with each larger size that goes in. And while any sort of anal toy and play will help prep you for actual anal sex, butt plugs might be a bit more similar to how that will feel.

“I’ve used both plugs and beads, and I like both, but I think it’s more important to invest in a high-quality set of beads if that’s what you’re into,” says Alyssa, age 26, of New York City. “The last thing you want is a cheap pair of beads breaking when they’re inside you! Oh, and with either one, make sure to use a ton of lube, otherwise it’ll be more pain than pleasure.” Good to know.

Every Question You Have About CBD—Answered

Does CBD get you high? What are the actual benefits? Will it show up on a drug test? Here’s everything you need to know about the product that’s suddenly everywhere.

There’s no question that CBD is the buzzy wellness product of the moment. If you live in a state where it’s currently legal, you might feel like CBD has gone from being sort of around to absolutely everywhere all at once. Coffee shops sell CBD lattes, spas offer CBD facials, beauty companies are rushing to release lotions with CBD or hemp oils in their formulas. And everyone from your anxious coworker to your arthritis-suffering dad wants to get their hands on some CBD gummies.

But even though it’s infiltrating pretty much every corner of the wellness world (hi, vegan CBD brownies!) many people still find CBD a little confusing—especially when it comes to figuring out the right way to use it and how to make sure the stuff you’re buying is, you know, actually legit. Below, we asked experts to answer the most pressing questions about CBD.

OK, first things first. What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, whish is also known as marijuana or help, according to the US National Library of Medicine.

It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive.

So you’re saying CBD won’t get me high?

Nope. The cannabis plant is made up of two main players: CBD and THC. “CBD is the non-psychoactive portion of the plant, so what that means is you won’t have any effects like euphoria,” says Junella Chin, DO, an osteopathic physician and a medical cannabis expert for cannabisMD. “You won’t feel sedated or altered in any way.”

There are two possible exceptions to this. The first is that some people, for unknown reasons, just react differently to CBD. According to Dr. Chin, about 5% of people say they feel altered after taking CBD. “Usually they’re the same people who have side effects from Advil or Tylenol,” she says. You never know how your body will react to any new supplement, so when taking CBD for the first time, do so safely under supervision.

It’s also crucial to buy third-party-tested CBD for quality assurance (more on this later). Because the FDA doesn’t regulate CBD, it is possible to buy a product that is more or less potent than advertised, or even contains small amounts of THC.

Where does hemp come in to all this?

You’ve probably heard the terms cannabis, marijuana, and hemp all tossed around in relation to CBD. The plant Cannabis sativa has two primary species, hemp and marijuana. Both contain CBD, but there’s a much higher percentage in hemp, which also has very low (less than 0.3%) levels of THC compared to marijuana.

When people talk about hemp oil, they’re referring to oil extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant. There are no cannabinoids—CBD or THC—in hemp oil. This ingredient is packed with healthy fats and often appears in beauty products for its moisturizing benefits.

What are the health benefits of CBD?

The only CBD medication that is currently FDA-approved is Epidiolex, which the agency approved last year for the treatment of certain types of epilepsy. But many people swear CBD has helped with a slew of other health conditions, including back pain, osteoarthritis, even cancer.

“My practice has patients walking in every day asking about CBD,” says Houman Danesh, MD, director of integrative pain management for the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. But while there’s lots of anecdotal evidence, he says, “it’s still very difficult to say” what the real benefits are due to a serious lack of research.

“Right now, you just have pharmacies trying to make some sort of sense out of it and say, ‘Yes, it works for this,'” he says, “but that’s not the way medicine is practiced—it should be based on evidence, and there’s not a lot of evidence to really support these claims.”

Still, is CBD worth trying for pain management?

There are two main types of pain, Dr. Danesh says: musculoskeletal and nerve. “There could be benefit for both conditions,” he says.

The tricky part is that there’s some evidence suggesting CBD works best for pain when combined with a little THC, says Dr. Danesh. “Depending on what type of pain you have, you might be able to do just CBD, but sometimes you need CBD and THC.” This makes accessing a product that will actually help you more difficult due to different regulations in each state. In New York, where Dr. Danesh practices, for example, CBD is available over the counter. But as soon as you add THC, you need a prescription.

Figuring out how much you should take is challenging as well; the dosage that alleviates one patient’s pain might do very little for someone else. “And until we can study it, it’s the wild west,” Dr. Danesh says.

The takeaway? “I think CBD is a safe thing to try,” says Dr. Danesh. But he urges patients to push for more research by putting pressure on representatives to get national bills passed that allow scientists to look closer at CBD and the conditions that respond to it.

What about my anxiety—can CBD help with that?

CBD might be worth trying to manage symptoms of anxiety. “[CBD] tells your body to calm down and reminds you that you’re safe,” Dr. Chin says. “It mellows out the nervous system so you’re not in a heightened ‘fight or flight’ response,” she says, so people with anxiety may find it helps them feel more relaxed.

Still, one of the biggest misconceptions about CBD is that it’s a wonder drug. “A lot of times people think CBD is a cure-all, and it’s not,” Dr. Chin says. “You should also have a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise and good nutrition—CBD is not going to fix everything.”

I’ve heard of edibles, tinctures, vape pens… What’s the best way to take CBD?

It really depends on what your goal is and why you’re taking CBD in the first place.

Some people don’t want to ingest anything and therefore prefer a topical CBD cream or ointment. “You can apply it to muscles, joints, and ligaments and still get a nice, localized release,” Dr. Chin says.

The biggest differences between tinctures, edibles, and vape pens are speed of delivery and how long the effects last. Vape relief is faster but wears off faster too—usually in about two hours, says Dr. Chin. “Say you wake up in the morning and pulled your back out, you might want to take CBD through a vape pen, which delivers in 10 minutes.”

Tinctures and edibles take longer to work but last four or five hours. “A tincture looks like a little liquid that you put under your tongue, and you feel relief within half an hour,” Dr. Chin says. “If you prefer to taste something, you choose an edible, whether it’s a capsule, gummy, or baked good.”

What should I look for when shopping for CBD products?

“There are literally hundreds of CBD brands at this point,” says Brandon Beatty, founder and CEO of Bluebird Botanicals and an executive vice president of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable. Here are a few things you should keep in mind when shopping.

What does the label look like?

We don’t mean the color or millennial font. If it’s a dietary supplement, it should have a back panel with an FDA disclaimer and warning section, according to Beatty. “Ideally, it would be preferable to have access to their third-party lab testing results too.”

Speaking of which: Has it been third-party tested?

Nearly every expert Health spoke to agreed that your CBD products should be tested by a third party to confirm the label’s accuracy. This is a real concern in the industry—take the 2017 Journal of the American Medical Association study, for example, which tested 84 CBD products and found that 26% contained lower doses than stated on the bottle. Look for a quality assurance stamp or certificate of analysis from a third party (aka not the actual brand) or check the retailer’s website if you don’t see it on the product’s label.

What’s the dosing?

This is a confusing one for many people. “A lot of brands don’t do a good job of clearly instructing their consumer on the dosing,” says Chris Roth, CEO and co-founder of Highline Wellness. When thinking about dosing, also consider whether your CBD is full-spectrum or isolate: Full-spectrum could include other cannabinoids like cannabidivarin or cannabigerol (this is important, since “there’s something called the ‘entourage effect’ when all together, they’re more effective than any one of them alone,” Roth explains), while isolate is 100% CBD. “Some people might only need 10 milligrams of full-spectrum CBD, but with isolate, even taking 80 or 100 milligrams might not have the same effect,” he says.

Does it claim to cure any diseases?

If so, hard pass. “You should avoid any company that makes disease claims,” says Beatty. “If so, it means they’re either willing to break the rules or they’re not aware of the rules.”

Is there a batch number?

You know how you check your raw chicken or bagged lettuce every time there’s a recall to make sure the one you bought isn’t going to make you sick? You should be able to do that with CBD products too. “This is a huge indicator as to whether they are following good manufacturing practices,” says Beatty. “There should be a way to identify this product in case it was improperly made so the company can carry out a recall.”

Are there additional ingredients in there?

As with any supplement, you want to know everything you’re ingesting in addition to the main event. For example, “sometimes I notice that [CBD manufacturers] will add melatonin,” says Dr. Chin.

Are you buying it IRL?

You can find CBD products in shopping malls, convenience stores, even coffee shops in many states right now. But when in doubt, natural grocers are a safe brick-and-mortar place to buy CBD, Beatty says. “Typically they have a vetting process that does some of the legwork for you.”

That all sounds good, but is it legal?

First, a little background. Industrial hemp was legal in the United States until Congress passed the Marihuana Tax Act in 1937. (“Some of our early presidents grew hemp,” notes Sarah Lee Gossett Parrish, a cannabis industry attorney based in Oklahoma.) Nearly 80 years later, the 2014 Farm Bill took the position that states can regulate the production of hemp and, as a result, CBD. Then last year, President Trump signed a new Farm Bill that made it federally legal to grow hemp.

This means that “consumers everywhere, if they’re compliant with their state, can grow hemp and use hemp products,” Parrish explains, “and among those will be CBD.”

In other words, the latest bill removed hemp from the Drug Enforcement Administration, or DEA’s, purview. “Hemp can now be grown freely under federal law, which, of course, is huge,” Parrish says. “But while it’s legal under federal law, it’s up to each state to set their own policy.”

These policies vary widely. Marijuana and CBD are currently fully legal for both medicinal and recreational purposes in Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, and Washington D.C. In 23 states, it’s legal in some form, such as for medicinal purposes. Another 14 states permit just CBD oil. But both are illegal in Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota. For more information, the organization Americans for Safe Access has a helpful guide to the specific laws in each state.

“It’s kind of ironic,” says Parrish. “With marijuana, we have got the federal government saying ‘No’ and a bunch of states saying ‘Yeah, it’s OK’—but with hemp, the feds say ‘Yeah, it’s OK,’ but we still have some states saying it’s not.”

Can you travel with CBD?

That same 2018 Farm Bill means you can now travel between states with legit CBD products. “Flying with CBD should pose no issues now,” Parrish says. However, if you’re traveling with a tincture, be mindful of TSA limits on how much liquid you can carry on an airplane, she adds. (You can also mail CBD products, just like “companies that comply with the Bill can ship their hemp-derived CBD products anywhere in the U.S.,” Parrish notes.)

Will CBD show up on a drug test?

It should not, as long as you’re buying third-party tested CBD with no added THC, says Dr. Chin. But she does point out that athletes, who often are required to take drug tests that are more sensitive, “could potentially test positive” for trace amounts of THC if they’ve been using CBD products.

Last question: Can I give it to my dog?

Tempted to give your pup one of those CBD dog biscuits? “Generally we expect CBD products to be safe, and they could show some benefit for anxiety in pets,” says John Faught, DVM, a veterinarian based in Austin, Texas.

But the challenge when considering CBD products for pets is the same as with people: lack of research. “I believe there are good products out there today, but I also don’t know how to distinguish them at this time,” Faught says.

7 Benefits and Uses of CBD Oil (Plus Side Effects) http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/7-benefits-and-uses-of-cbd-oil-plus-side-effects/ Tue, 14 Jul 2020 15:09:19 +0000 http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/?p=1638

Better known as CBD, it is one of over 100 chemical compounds known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis or marijuana plant, Cannabis sativa.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, and causes the sensation of getting “high” that’s often associated with marijuana. However, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive.

This quality makes CBD an appealing option for those who are looking for relief from pain and other symptoms without the mind-altering effects of marijuana or certain pharmaceutical drugs.

CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant, then diluting it with a carrier oil like coconut or hemp seed oil.

It’s gaining momentum in the health and wellness world, with some scientific studies confirming it may ease symptoms of ailments like chronic pain and anxiety.

Here are seven health benefits of CBD oil that are backed by scientific evidence.

1. Can Relieve Pain

Marijuana has been used to treat pain as far back as 2900 B.C.

More recently, scientists have discovered that certain components of marijuana, including CBD, are responsible for its pain-relieving effects.

The human body contains a specialized system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is involved in regulating a variety of functions including sleep, appetite, pain and immune system response.

The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system.

Studies have shown that CBD may help reduce chronic pain by impacting endocannabinoid receptor activity, reducing inflammation and interacting with neurotransmitters.

For example, one study in rats found that CBD injections reduced pain response to surgical incision, while another rat study found that oral CBD treatment significantly reduced sciatic nerve pain and inflammation.

Several human studies have found that a combination of CBD and THC is effective in treating pain related to multiple sclerosis and arthritis.

An oral spray called Sativex, which is a combination of THC and CBD, is approved in several countries to treat pain related to multiple sclerosis.

One study of 47 people with multiple sclerosis examined the effects of taking Sativex for one month. The participants experienced improvements in pain, walking, and muscle spasms. Still, the study didn’t include any control group and placebo effects cannot be ruled out.

Another study found that Sativex significantly improved pain during movement, pain at rest and sleep quality in 58 people with rheumatoid arthritis.

SUMMARYCBD, especially in combination with THC, may be effective in reducing pain associated with diseases like multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

2. Could Reduce Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and depression are common mental health disorders that can have devastating impacts on health and well-being.

According to the World Health Organization, depression is the single largest contributor to disability worldwide, while anxiety disorders are ranked sixth.

Anxiety and depression are usually treated with pharmaceutical drugs, which can cause a number of side effects including drowsiness, agitation, insomnia, sexual dysfunction and headache

What’s more, medications like benzodiazepines can be addictive and may lead to substance abuse

CBD oil has shown promise as a treatment for both depression and anxiety, leading many who live with these disorders to become interested in this natural approach.

In one Brazilian study, 57 men received either oral CBD or a placebo 90 minutes before they underwent a simulated public speaking test. The researchers found that a 300-mg dose of CBD was the most effective at significantly reducing anxiety during the test.

The placebo, a 150-mg dose of CBD, and a 600-mg dose of CBD had little to no effect on anxiety

CBD oil has even been used to safely treat insomnia and anxiety in children with post-traumatic stress disorder.

CBD has also shown antidepressant-like effects in several animal studies.

These qualities are linked to CBD’s ability to act on the brain’s receptors for serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and social behavior.

SUMMARYUsing CBD has been shown to reduce anxiety and depression in both human and animal studies.

3. Can Alleviate Cancer-Related Symptoms

CBD may help reduce symptoms related to cancer and side effects related to cancer treatment, like nausea, vomiting and pain.

One study looked at the effects of CBD and THC in 177 people with cancer-related pain who did not experience relief from pain medication.

Those treated with an extract containing both compounds experienced a significant reduction in pain compared to those who received only THC extract.

CBD may also help reduce chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, which are among the most common chemotherapy-related side effects for those with cancer.

Though there are drugs that help with these distressing symptoms, they are sometimes ineffective, leading some people to seek alternatives.

A study of 16 people undergoing chemotherapy found that a one-to-one combination of CBD and THC administered via mouth spray reduced chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting better than standard treatment alone.

Some test-tube and animal studies have even shown that CBD may have anticancer properties. For example, one test-tube study found that concentrated CBD induced cell death in human breast cancer cells.

Another study showed that CBD inhibited the spread of aggressive breast cancer cells in mice.

However, these are test-tube and animal studies, so they can only suggest what might work in people. More studies in humans are needed before conclusions can be made.

SUMMARYThough CBD has been shown to help reduce symptoms related to cancer and cancer treatment, and may even have cancer-fighting properties, more research is needed to assess its efficacy and safety.

4. May Reduce Acne

Acne is a common skin condition that affects more than 9% of the population

It is thought to be caused by a number of factors, including genetics, bacteria, underlying inflammation and the overproduction of sebum, an oily secretion made by sebaceous glands in the skin

Based on recent scientific studies, CBD oil may help treat acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to reduce sebum production.

One test-tube study found that CBD oil prevented sebaceous gland cells from secreting excessive sebum, exerted anti-inflammatory actions and prevented the activation of “pro-acne” agents like inflammatory cytokines

Another study had similar findings, concluding that CBD may be an efficient and safe way to treat acne, thanks in part to its remarkable anti-inflammatory qualities

Though these results are promising, human studies exploring the effects of CBD on acne are needed.

SUMMARYCBD may have beneficial effects on acne due to its anti-inflammatory qualities and its ability to control the overproduction of sebum from the sebaceous glands.

5. Might Have Neuroprotective Properties

Researchers believe that CBD’s ability to act on the endocannabinoid system and other brain signaling systems may provide benefits for those with neurological disorders.

In fact, one of the most studied uses for CBD is in treating neurological disorders like epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. Though research in this area is still relatively new, several studies have shown promising results.

Sativex, an oral spray consisting of CBD and THC, has been proven to be a safe and effective way to reduce muscle spasticity in people with multiple sclerosis.

One study found that Sativex reduced spasms in 75% of 276 people with multiple sclerosis who were experiencing muscle spasticity that was resistant to medications Another study gave 214 people with severe epilepsy 0.9–2.3 grams of CBD oil per pound (2–5 g/kg) of body weight. Their seizures reduced by a median of 36.5%

One more study found that CBD oil significantly reduced seizure activity in children with Dravet syndrome, a complex childhood epilepsy disorder, compared to a placebo

However, it’s important to note that some people in both these studies experienced adverse reactions associated with CBD treatment, such as convulsions, fever and fatigue.

CBD has also been researched for its potential effectiveness in treating several other neurological diseases.

For example, several studies have shown that treatment with CBD improved quality of life and sleep quality for people with Parkinson’s disease

Additionally, animal and test-tube studies have shown that CBD may decrease inflammation and help prevent the neurodegeneration associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

In one long-term study, researchers gave CBD to mice genetically predisposed to Alzheimer’s disease, finding that it helped prevent cognitive decline.

SUMMARYThough research is limited at this time, CBD has been shown to ease symptoms related to epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. CBD was also shown to reduce the progression of Alzheimer’s disease in test-tube and animal studies.

6. Could Benefit Heart Health

Recent research has linked CBD with several benefits for the heart and circulatory system, including the ability to lower high blood pressure.

High blood pressure is linked to higher risks of a number of health conditions, including stroke, heart attack and metabolic syndrome.

Studies indicate that CBD may be able to help with high blood pressure.

One recent study treated nine healthy men with one dose of 600 mg of CBD oil and found it reduced resting blood pressure, compared to a placebo.

The same study also gave the men stress tests that normally increase blood pressure. Interestingly, the single dose of CBD led the men to experience a smaller blood pressure increase than normal in response to these tests.

Researchers have suggested that the stress- and anxiety-reducing properties of CBD are responsible for its ability to help lower blood pressure.

Additionally, several animal studies have demonstrated that CBD may help reduce the inflammation and cell death associated with heart disease due to its powerful antioxidant and stress-reducing properties.

For example, one study found that treatment with CBD reduced oxidative stress and prevented heart damage in diabetic mice with heart disease.

SUMMARYThough more human studies are needed, CBD may benefit heart health in several ways, including by reducing blood pressure and preventing heart damage.

7. Several Other Potential Benefits

CBD has been studied for its role in treating a number of health issues other than those outlined above.

Though more studies are needed, CBD is thought to provide the following health benefits:

  • Antipsychotic effects: Studies suggest that CBD may help people with schizophrenia and other mental disorders by reducing psychotic symptoms.
  • Substance abuse treatment: CBD has been shown to modify circuits in the brain related to drug addiction. In rats, CBD has been shown to reduce morphine dependence and heroin-seeking behavior.
  • Anti-tumor effects: In test-tube and animal studies, CBD has demonstrated anti-tumor effects. In animals, it has been shown to prevent the spread of breast, prostate, brain, colon and lung cancer.
  • Diabetes prevention: In diabetic mice, treatment with CBD reduced the incidence of diabetes by 56% and significantly reduced inflammation.

SUMMARYSome studies suggest that CBD may help with diabetes, substance abuse, mental disorders and certain types of cancers. However, more research in humans is needed.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Though CBD is generally well tolerated and considered safe, it may cause adverse reactions in some people.

Side effects noted in studies include:

  • Diarrhea
  • Changes in appetite and weight
  • Fatigue

CBD is also known to interact with several medications. Before you start using CBD oil, discuss it with your doctor to ensure your safety and avoid potentially harmful interactions.

This is especially important if you take medications or supplements that come with a “grapefruit warning.” Both grapefruit and CBD interfere with cytochromes P450 (CYPs), a group of enzymes that are important to drug metabolism.

One study performed on mice showed that CBD-rich cannabis extracts have the potential to cause liver toxicity. However, some the mice in the study were force-fed extremely large doses of the extract.

SUMMARYAlthough CBD is generally considered safe, it can cause adverse reactions like diarrhea and fatigue in some people. It may also interfere with certain medications.

The Bottom Line

CBD oil has been studied for its potential role in easing symptoms of many common health issues, including anxiety, depression, acne and heart disease.

For those with cancer, it may even provide a natural alternative for pain and symptom relief.

Research on the potential health benefits of CBD oil is ongoing, so new therapeutic uses for this natural remedy are sure to be discovered.

Though there is much to be learned about the efficacy and safety of CBD, results from recent studies suggest that CBD may provide a safe, powerful natural treatment for many health issues.

If you’re interested in trying CBD, you can purchase many products online, including gummies, oils, and lotions.

Is CBD Legal? Hemp-derived CBD products (with less than 0.3 percent THC) are legal on the federal level, but are still illegal under some state laws. Marijuana-derived CBD products are illegal on the federal level, but are legal under some state laws. Check your state’s laws and those of anywhere you travel. Keep in mind that nonprescription CBD products are not FDA-approved, and may be inaccurately labeled.

How to Choose Sexy Lingerie

One thing that women of all shapes and sizes, from the most petite to the big and beautiful, have in common is that the lingerie they buy must make them feel wonderful about themselves. That means sexy, sensual, desirable but most significantly, special. When your special someone turns off the television because he noticed you in your sexy lingerie, it’s a definite plus and ego-boost.

Modern women of today consider their lingerie as an important part of their wardrobe. Online shopping has made it very easy, and opened up a new world for finding lingerie that is sexy, exotic and remains comfortable to wear. There are a few simple tips to bear in mind when shopping for lingerie so you will always look wonderful and feel great.

Even though all women are beautiful, there are those times when you just require something a little extra to make you sparkle, and lingerie can do that. Fashion and comfort go together like peaches and cream. Choosing the right lingerie for you may take a bit of practice, however, since there is such a tremendous range of styles available. Remember, sexy lingerie does not have to be uncomfortable.

Tips on Selecting Sexy Lingerie

The majority of women can wear red, white and black. This is why almost all sexy lingerie comes in these three colors. Blondes look beautiful in pastels; brunettes need the stronger colors like sapphire blue or emerald green, while fiery redheads look fantastic in green, blues and earth tones. Satin, lace, silk, leather, PVC, sheer mesh and velvet are just a few of the many materials available. Remember that a sheer material is always going to be more revealing.

Sexy Lingerie and Your Body Type

You need to feel comfortable with your own body before you can feel totally at ease with yourself. Emphasizing the correct body parts, which is not necessarily showing more skin, will make you feel appealing and desirable. Always accentuate your positive features and play down or understate the negative. If your body shape is straight – with bust, waist and hips almost the same choose a style that will drape over your figure and stay away from tight fitting lingerie. Comfort is just as important as the way you look. Nobody wants to feel like they are being restricted in the wrong places.

If you have:

Small breasts

Choose lingerie that shows off your bottom or legs to distract from your breast size. If you are thin try stockings and garters they do a good job of lowering the eye to the legs. You want to bring the eyes to the area of your body that you feel comfortable with.

Large or Droopy Breasts

Styles in plus size lingerie with under wire or halter tops can help lift and enhance cleavage. Spandex and Lycra stretch materials will allow you to adjust your breasts and minimize them some what with a smooth look.

Large Bottom or Hips

If you got plus size boobs show them off! A long loose gown with a sheer top would be perfect for this. Avoid fitted waist styles; go for items that are straighter cut. Remember, you want that fabric to skim, drape or flow gracefully around your hips, not bind, pull or wrinkle in the wrong places.  If you do not want to draw attention to this area, consider staying away from Lingerie pieces such as Bustiers and Waist Cinchers because these garments are tight fitted and could accentuate this area.

Belly

Keep styles loose in the waist. Use fancy thongs, panties, or bras to bring eyes to more favorable areas.  Remember, you want that fabric to skim, drape or flow and not to bind, pull or wrinkle in the wrong places.

Short

Gowns with slits in the leg area will give you a taller illusion. Short baby dolls can also give you a leggy look. Short is not a bad thing. Select styles that are proportioned for your height. Do not choose lingerie that is too long either in length or on the rise. If your height or proportion is a sizing problem, check out stores for petites. If all else fails, finding an experienced seamstress is invaluable.

Tall

Find styles that are vertically striped or cut. Tops or skirts that tie around the waist. White is a good color for you. The main thing to keep in mind about your height is to not select something that is supposed to be long but looks too short. A long, flowing sheer robe that is supposed to be roughly floor length but actually hits well above your ankles just doesn’t work. It’s better to opt for styles that are cut to be short and highlight your long, beautiful legs.

Robes

Sheer robes can give you a sense of security in sexy womens lingerie.  Robes have the amazing ability to make you feel like you have covered all of your flaws. Get a beautiful, sexy robe and it could dress up any bra and panty set and make you look and feel like a million bucks.

Body Shape

If your body shape is a Pear or Triangle: A Pear shape is smaller on top then tapers out. This does not mean small busted. This means women who have a small upper body build. Try something a little loose fitting on the top – but not too loose.

If you are a Pear or Triangle with small breasts and are sensitive about this area, choose something that does not emphasize this part of the body.  A sexy baby doll may be a good choice. If you want to add some cleavage tries something Padded or Push-up Padded

If your body shape is an Up-side Down Pear or Inverted Triangle: This body type has wider shoulders and smaller hips. This usually means a muscular or bigger upper body build. Women today work hard to have muscle tone and wear it well. If they want to If you want frills, try to look for something to wrap around the hips. You may want to add an accessory like a wrap, robe, kimono, or a feather boa.

If your body shape is an Hour Glass: This body type is equally proportioned on both the top and bottom with a smaller waist. Almost everything worked well for this body type

What Not to Wear

Beautiful lingerie and indulging yourself go together. Keeping your lingerie in good condition and properly cared for will extend its use and will help you feel comfortable and sexy. Even though most of the lingerie we wear is not seen, it still has a big affect on the way we look and the way our clothes fit. Looking fantastic makes you feel beautiful. Here are a few hints:

  • Make sure your lingerie isn’t worn, ripped or the wrong size.
  • Thongs and G Strings worn under tight fitting skirts and pants will prevent panty lines from showing.
  • Legs look sexy and slimmer in black nylons.
  • Light colors make your legs appear heavier.
  • A one-piece body suit does a great job of hiding any bulges and makes you look slimmer.
  • Always, and this can’t be stressed enough, wear a bra that fits correctly.

How to Choose Lingerie that Makes You Feel Sexy http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/how-to-choose-lingerie-that-makes-you-feel-sexy/ Thu, 09 Jul 2020 00:23:19 +0000 http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/?p=1412

What does lingerie mean to you?

Some of us, when we think lingerie, immediately think of sexy, lacy pieces that take about 10 minutes to actually get into and about 30 seconds to take off.

You know the pieces I’m talking about–the ones that are really meant to be some eye candy for a bit but are quickly thrown to the floor a few minutes later.

Having a few of these ridiculously sexy pieces can be a ton of fun for anniversaries, special occasions, or just to surprise your husband just because! But the problem we can run into with this kind of lingerie is that it sits in the back of the dresser or the back of the closet to just be pulled out a few times a year.

And the rest of the year we’re in gym shorts and ratty t-shirts.

But many who are reading this may think “lingerie” and get incredibly uncomfortable.

Maybe you feel uncomfortable about how your body looks in lingerie. Maybe you want to be sexier, but when you try on some of those crazy sexy pieces you just feel ridiculous. Maybe you even feel a bit of shame around the idea of lingerie.

No matter if you’re the type who gravitates towards the special occasion lingerie or no lingerie at all, I want to challenge you to re-think lingerie’s role in your daily life. This month, on Wednesdays, we’re going to be talking about how to reclaim the word sexy and bring sexy back to our marriages, and I thought I’d start with a week about choosing lingerie. I’m going to let Rebecca take this one over today, because she has some pretty firm views on the subject!

In previous generations, lingerie wasn’t just something you received at your bachelorette party.

Lingerie was simply your underthings–slips, brassieres, garters and stockings were all just a normal part of what you wore under your clothes. And then at night, women wore silk or satin night gowns, teddies, or top and bottom pieces with a robe that were clothes specifically set aside for nightwear.

And they looked awesome. Seriously, look how gorgeous these slips are (again, this was normal everyday wear!)

I think that with our over-airbrushed, over-edited, over-photoshopped modern culture we have this mindset that in order to be sexy, we need to be over the top. We need the skimpiest piece we can get that makes our boobs look as huge as possible while our waist looks incredibly slim in order to be sexy.

But the problem with that mentality is two-fold. First off, most of us will not look like models because of body type, having kids, surgeries, or what have you. Secondly, that just takes a whole lot of work. And the more work something takes, the less often it will happen.

What would happen if we went back to thinking about lingerie the way that women did in the past, where it was something comfortable and feminine that was just a part of our daily routine?

I don’t think we need to start wearing full-body slips again under our clothes. But just the idea that we can have simply, day-to-day items that are feminine, flattering, and incredibly comfy can revitalize how you see and choose lingerie.

I personally think that having a small but thoughtfully chosen lingerie collection that is appropriate for everyday wear is a game changer for sexual confidence. There’s something about having on a nightgown instead of your paint-stained gym shorts and the camp T-shirt that just makes you feel so much more put together and feminine, even though it takes literally no more effort to put on (and is just as comfy, if you choose the right pieces!).

So here are some tips and some questions to ask yourself when buying lingerie to help you choose pieces that are better for your lifestyle and better for your body so you can feel confident, beautiful, and sexy on a daily basis!

1. Focus on creating a functional lingerie wardrobe

We all need a few of those “wow” factor pieces I was talking about earlier–the ones that come out on anniversaries and birthdays. And we completely endorse shopping for some of that in the mall’s lingerie stores.

But when it comes to buying lingerie you’ll actually wear, focus on functional pieces. Pieces that can also be pyjamas, pieces that are also actual undergarments that you already wear but just a little nicer. For instance, many people swear by thongs, but others find them just plain uncomfortable. No one wants a permanent wedgie! But you don’t need a thong to have pretty underwear:

Pretty Underwear - How to Choose Lingerie that Makes You Feel Sexy

The ones on the left are still pretty without feeling “granny”, but they also won’t give you wedgies.

It’s better to buy lingerie that is pretty that you’ll actually wear than stuff you think you’re supposed to wear but you won’t because it’s uncomfortable.

Changing this mentality can help us get used to seeing ourselves more as womanly, beautiful, and sexy on a day-to-day basis. (And sex is much less exhausting to think about when you’re already wearing a cute nightgown or tank and shorts set that makes you feel beautiful and flirty than when you’re wearing a stained t-shirt and sweat pants!)

2. Try bra and panty sets

Bra and panty sets can be a lot of fun if that’s your cup of tea! And the best part is that throughout the day you’ll feel like you have a secret outfit on underneath of your real outfit–one that just you and your husband know about.

Investing in some great bras and pairs of underwear is helpful in more than one way, too: it will help you feel confident and beautiful, but it also just helps your clothes fit better! You will have fewer underwear lines, show off your curves better, and if you have large breasts having a well-fitted bra can help relieve back pain, as well.

If you’re someone who is uncomfortable with the idea of lingerie or trying on “sexy” clothes, this is a fantastic place to start. You already wear bras and underwear, so why not have fun with them? It can be a great stepping stone for those of us who are less comfortable with trying new things!

And colour can be as sexy as shape. Take the same beige bra you already wear, but make it purple with polka dots. You’ll feel more playful!

Make an appointment at a good lingerie store or a good department store for a proper bra fitting (the vast majority of us are wearing the wrong bra size; most of us need to go DOWN a band size and UP a cup size). And then try on a bunch! When you find a pretty bra that looks great, buy a few pairs of underwear (since bras can be worn more than once before washing, whereas underwear can only be worn once!). You can get everything from the high end Simone Perele bras to the lower end Victoria Secret. Have some fun trying them on!

Sheila says: I always hand wash my bras, too. It makes them last so much longer. In fact, I’ve never had a bra wear out. I change sizes before they actually wear out. It’s a little bit more work, but I just soak them in a lingerie wash, then rinse, then squeeze dry and roll up all the bras and underwear pieces in a towel. Then squeeze the towel, hang to dry, and you’re all set! It takes about 3 minutes in total (you soak for longer than that), and I’ve been doing it for around 20 years now).

3. Look for breathable and soft fabrics

This was the number 1 game-changer for me when it came to nightwear and lingerie. Look for fabrics that will be comfortable to wear all night long–cotton and silk are great places to start, but some polyester blends that are made specifically to be breathable can work great, too. But pay attention to the details: a lot of lace and other embellishments found on night gowns and lingerie pieces are often made with a scratchier material than the rest of the garment. So when you try a piece on, focus on every part that is touching your skin–is it soft? How will it handle sweat (gross question, I know, but important)? Does this give me room to move around or do I feel like I’m going to rip something or I’m constrained?

Finding pieces that are made with breathable fabrics that are soft and easy to move in will help you create a lingerie mini-wardrobe of a few pieces you wear every day and feel awesome in. If it’s not comfortable or you feel sticky or sweaty in it, you simply won’t wear it.

4. Try on LOTS of things

And don’t be discouraged when most of them don’t work! Easier said than done, I know, but when it comes to lingerie you would be surprised what you try on that you end up just loving.

If you’re comfortable with it, consider bringing a friend or a sister along who can help you pick out some unique pieces you may not have otherwise considered. I’ve gone with multiple friends to help them find some everyday wearable pieces or bras that suit them and it’s a ton of fun–remember, we’re not talking those once-a-year lingerie pieces; we’re talking about nightwear that’s sexy but you’re still covered for the most part!

5. Watch your reaction when you try things on

Choosing lingerie is less about choosing pieces that you think might make you look sexy, and more about choosing lingerie that makes you hold yourself with confidence because you really feel beautiful and sexy. If you try something on and you think, “this looks good on me I guess” but your body language is nervous, ask yourself if it truly feels like “you.” If no, then put it aside–you’re looking for pieces that match YOU, because then you’ll want to wear them!

Choosing lingerie is less about choosing pieces that you think might make you look sexy, and more about choosing lingerie that makes you hold yourself with confidence because you really feel beautiful and sexy.

6. Look for figure-flattering pieces

We all have different proportions, even among the typical body shapes you hear about. If you’re very straight up-and-down and want to add more curves, have fun trying on lots of pieces with extra frills or ruching to add dimension. Or, if you have an athletic build and you want to accentuate that, why not try some structured silk or satin sleep shirts with a pair of shorts? They’re incredibly chic and can really compliment more angular builds!

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B07FMV45SK&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=sheilawrayg00 20&language=en US - How to Choose Lingerie that Makes You Feel SexyIf you’re more curvy, looking for really classic-looking pieces like satin nightgowns with a nicely defined waistline can be incredibly flattering and make your curves look awesome. Plus, they look incredibly feminine, and will likely provide more support for the girls than that ratty t-shirt did, anyway!

A tip for bustier women in particular: look for good coverage up top. Many nightgowns do not come high enough to adequately contain what’s going on in the breast department so when you roll over at night, it pops out. And that’s just annoying. So look for pieces that fit you well and keep you contained so that you can sleep comfortably!

If you’re more bottom-heavy (like me!), pieces that have more going on up top and are more streamlined q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B01GXH7KWE&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=sheilawrayg00 20&language=en US - How to Choose Lingerie that Makes You Feel Sexyon the bottom half can really flatter your curves and make pear-shapes look fantastic (emphasize, don’t hide, the behind!). I love this black midi-length gown with a lot of lace going on up top with a super sleek bottom half, since it would nicely define your curves without being too tight around the hips that it would be uncomfortable.

If you’re less endowed on top (like my mom!), try some structure on top, either with form fitting spandex or full coverage tops. If you go with just a deep V for the bust area, it’s very easy to “slip out” every time you move if there’s not a lot to keep the piece in place.

With all of these general body-type suggestions, it’s important to recognize that these are merely starting point suggestions. As a bottom-heavy woman, I struggled for a long time to get over trying to “hide” my legs because I thought that my hips were just too wide. But you know what I realized? It’s a lot easier to work WITH your body than AGAINST it. So don’t be afraid to try on a gown that will graze your hips and legs–if you find the right fit, it won’t make you look bigger, it’ll just emphasize your curves! If you’re self-conscious because you think you have too small breasts, don’t always feel like you have to try to make them look larger–you can also just find some pieces that are really structured to show off your more subtle curves (think Audrey Hepburn anyone?). If you are carrying more weight than you would like, don’t feel you have to hide away in a ton of fabric–find a cute shorts and tank top pair that fits you well, shows off your curves, and you can wear around the house with confidence knowing you look awesome.

7. Invest in a good robe

Maybe you already have a great housecoat that would work for this, but having a good robe or housecoat takes pieces that may show a bit more skin than you’re comfortable with around the kids/if anyone saw through the kitchen window and makes them appropriate for everyday wear. It’s a simple addition to your wardrobe that helps make your lingerie wearable day-to-day!

10 VITAL TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE PERFECT LINGERIE

Lingerie is an awesome way to give your man a sexy surprise and get him instantly in the mood. Most guys love the look and feel of lingerie on a woman’s body, be it lace, chiffon or satin. You can easily spice up a dull sex life or give a great sex life an incredible boost with the right lingerie.

However, choosing the right lingerie can feel like an ordeal, especially if it’s something you’re new too. It’s easy to feel confused and unsure of what to get with so many choices available. Here are ten guidelines that will help you choose the perfect lingerie that your man will love, and that you look and feel great in. You’ll find more great tips on how to be sexually adventurous in this article here.

1. IS THE LINGERIE OF GOOD QUALITY?

It’s important that you choose lingerie that is of good quality. While you don’t have to purchase the most expensive lingerie on the rack, cheap lingerie that is of poor quality doesn’t feel good and it usually won’t look good either. Don’t buy poor quality lingerie just for the sake of buying lingerie, and remember that inexpensive doesn’t necessarily mean cheap.

Pay attention to how the garment itself is made, and make sure there is no frayed stitching or tears. The fabric should have a quality look and feel, and it should be obvious that the garment is made with care. Spending a little more on lingerie that will last longer and looks great on you is well worth the extra money.

2. IS IT WITHIN YOUR BUDGET?

Well made or not, the lingerie should fit your budget. The cost of the lingerie should also match the quality of the garment.

If you want to give your lover back-arching, toe-curling, screaming orgasms that will keep them sexually obsessed with you, then you can learn these sex techniques in my private and discreet newsletter. You’ll also learn the 5 dangerous mistakes that will ruin your sex life and relationship.

A pricey piece of lingerie that looks and feels like it cost pennies to make is not something you want to invest in. There are many affordable pieces of lingerie that look great, and if you want to purchase something that is outside of your price range, try saving up and getting it later or asking the store attendant if they have something similar at a lower price point.

3. DOES IT FLATTER YOUR FIGURE?

Truly the most critical aspect of any lingerie is whether or not it flatters your figure. You can wear lingerie and look amazing in it whether you’re athletic or curvy, but the type of lingerie you choose matters. A great piece of lingerie should highlight your best features and downplay your flaws. It doesn’t matter if you’re tiny or have more to love, you can look great in lingerie if you just choose pieces that fit you.

For example, if you are self conscious about your middle but have an excellent rack, the lingerie should lift your bust but have longer fabric that lays over your belly, like a empire waist teddy.

If you have a small bust but gorgeous badonk-a-donk, the lingerie should shape your bust but show off your hot “ass”-et. No matter what kind of lingerie it is, it’s important that it be fitted to keep your man’s attention on your smokin’ bod, while masking things that you might be self conscious about. 4. IS IT COMFORTABLE TO WEAR?

Good lingerie needs to be as comfortable to wear as sexy as it is on. Lingerie that is itchy, hot, or tight is going to make wearing it a total bummer — plus, your man might very well notice that you’re uncomfortable and be distracted from getting turned on.

The last thing you want to do is be scratching, wiggling or fooling with straps because you’re uncomfortable, when you should be focused on lighting your man’s fire.

Always try lingerie on before you buy it, and make sure you could wear it comfortably for several hours before you make the purchase. You might not be wearing it that long, but you need to be confident that it’s going to look and feel great when you put it on.

5. DO YOU FEEL SEXY IN IT?

You should always feel amazing when you wear lingerie. That’s the whole point of lingerie.

Any piece of lingerie that doesn’t make you feel like the beautiful betty you are isn’t worth the money, plain and simple. When you try on lingerie, make sure you feel like a super sexy bombshell before you swipe your credit card and take it home.

It doesn’t matter how much or how little skin it shows, or how great it looks on someone else — if you feel frumpy or less-than-stellar when you put it on, put it back. Only purchase lingerie that makes you feel like a million bucks. For more tips on feeling and being sexy.

Also, if you feel anxious at the thought of buying and wearing lingerie, then you should use some of these tips to help get rid of your sexual anxiety.

6. IS IT EASY TO TAKE OFF AND CAN YOU HAVE SEX IN IT?

While your man will definitely be into a striptease if you want to take off your lingerie before having sex, it might be even hotter to keep it on while you get down to it.

So a good question to ask is if you even can have sex in it. A skin tight leather body suit that barely lets you move isn’t going to fit the bill, nor is a piece of lingerie that has too many straps or doesn’t allow for good movement. You want lingerie that allows you to move freely and get into a variety of different positions when you’re wearing it without the need for a whole lot of adjustment.

When you try lingerie on, imagine having sex in it. If you’re pretty sure that the lingerie would move and grind with you as you get it on, you can check this point off your list.

7. ARE THE COLORS SIMPLE?

Neon lingerie hardly even looks good in the nightclub, and it’s probably not going to look good in the bedroom. Steer clear of super colorful items when choosing lingerie. Simple colors without bright or busy patterns are best, and you can never, ever go wrong with basic black. Black lingerie is sexy and flattering for all body shapes and skin tones.

Red is also a good color, and white can give you a look of “innocence” that is fun and playful even beyond your wedding night. Any combination of these colors is awesome too, but steer clear of nude or skin-tone lingerie. You might as well just be naked in that case.

8. DOES IT PAIR WELL WITH ACCESSORIES?

It’s not uncommon for a man to only notice your sexy stilettos or your jewelry when you’re wearing lingerie, so take advantage of this and make sure the lingerie you choose pairs well with accessories.

Does the neckline of the lingerie make room for a sweet and sexy necklace that shows off your cleavage, or does it lend itself well to the look of heels or thigh high boots? Before you purchase your lingerie, think about what you would wear with it and if it would look good. No lingerie is complete without a few titillating accessories.

9. DOES IT SHOW ENOUGH SKIN?

While long nightgowns might technically count as lingerie, they’re probably not going to get your man hot and heavy.

He’ll really just want to take it off. Many men prefer to see lingerie that shows more skin instead of less and leaves only a little to the imagination (they don’t want to have to imagine the whole thing). Choose lingerie that shows a decent amount of skin and only covers up the important areas. Even better is lingerie that gives your man a glimpse of the goods under sheer lace or chiffon, so he can just barely see everything.

10. WILL IT TURN YOUR MAN ON?

The second most important aspect of lingerie (other than it flatters your figure) is that it turns your man on. If it won’t, you might as well leave it in the store because it will just make for a pointless purchase. Many women think that any lingerie will turn a guy on, but this isn’t necessarily true.

Every guy is different with what he likes and doesn’t like, and it’s critical that you take his preferences into consideration before you buy a thing. Have you heard him mention that he loves the look of garter belts? Does he seem especially interested in push up bras? Factor anything he loves into your lingerie purchase to ensure that you’ll “wow” your man when he sees you donning your new outfit.

Lingerie can be a purchase that lasts a lifetime and keeps your sex life hot if you follow these basic guidelines on choosing pieces that turn your man on, make you feel super sexy and look great on your body. The right lingerie can not only capture your man’s attention and keep it solely on you, it can make you feel like a sexy princess.

Remember though, confidence is the number one accessory to have when you wear lingerie. More than any push up bra or sexy pair of shoes, confidence will turn your man on and get him ready for action. Give him a sexy smile when you’re showing off your new lingerie, and let him see that you know you look amazing.

6 WAYS YOU CAN USE CBD FOR BETTER SEX

CBD for Sex

For those who suffer from stress, performance anxiety or pain in the bedroom, CBD-infused pleasure enhancers are here to help. In recent years, medical experts and scientists have tapped into CBD’s healing properties, including decreased inflammation, improved gut health, calmed nerves, enhanced sleep and more. However, beyond medicinal purposes, cannabidiol can also be used to give your sex life a boost.

As the non-psychoactive ingredient in the marijuana plant, CBD can alleviate inhibition during sex, as well as reduce pain during penetration and enhance sensations. In other words, instead of using another substance (i.e., alcohol) to unwind, CBD can provide similar effects without the hangover or fuzzy memories. In fact, because cannabidiol helps with insomnia , incorporating an edible, vaporizer or CBD-infused lube can actually improve post-sex sleep.

1. Improving Desire

Cannabis can be used as an aphrodisiac in many ways: smoking, vaping, lubricants and eating cannabis chocolates are all popular ways to achieve its aphrodisiac effects. In other words, while the most well-known benefits of CBD are tailored toward anxiety and pain, there’s also a chance that it can help with arousal and desire levels. When applied topically, the CBD and THC dilate your blood vessels, allowing fresh oxygenated blood to flow more easily. In other words, CBD and TCH are vasodilators. Typically, fresh oxygenated blood is associated with increased arousal and stimulation.

2. Relieving Pain

If chronic discomfort or sexual dysfunction are problems, CBD may also be able to help with pain during sex. Studies show that CBD is a potent anti-inflammatory and can be effective as an adjunct treatment for pain. For example, topical, whole-plant CBD balm can help women experiencing painful sexual intercourse due to vaginal dryness or irritation. CBD lube also does the trick.

3. Decreasing Anxiety

One of the many ways that people use CBD is to help fight anxiety and improve their mental state. CBD works directly on the body’s endocannabinoid system,  a complex network of receptors in the body that help regulate the nervous system, immune system and the body’s organs. Those receptors, when activated by the body’s own endocannabinoids, can have an anti-anxiety effect on the brain. Furthermore, using CBD in the bedroom can create a feeling of calm, relaxation and elation, translating into enhanced sexual pleasure.

4. Strengthening Sensations

When it comes to the female reproductive tract, cannabinoid receptors are found in the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, vagina and vulva, and they play a significant role in the day-to-day pleasures and pain associated with sex. These receptors are key in improving low libido and the inability to achieve orgasms. Men experiencing issues with erectile dysfunction may also benefit from using CBD. As previously mentioned, CBD increases blood flow and nerve sensation, which can help enhance sexual pleasure and intensify orgasms for all parties.

foreplay enhanced cbd for sex

5. Enhancing Foreplay

To help tune into the physical experience of foreplay, CBD lube enhances sensation and climax. Largely due to its ability to repair tissue damage and improve blood flow to the genitals, a coconut oil-based CBD lube is gaining popularity. Combined with THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis, men and women report an enhanced sex drive. Plus, CBD lube relieves women of the pain they sometimes feel during penetration as it relaxes the tissues surrounding the sex organ.

6. Relaxing with CBD Body Oil

Fast-absorbing and lightweight, using a sensorial body oil offers targeted topical relief as well as natural energy. In between the sheets, try a CBD-infused body oil to reduce muscle tension and create a soothing sensation. The therapeutic blend of essential oils combined with full-spectrum cannabinoids leverage the natural power of the whole plant. Before getting frisky, massage your partner’s back and arms with CBD body oil.

Can CBD Make Sex Better? Here’s What the Experts Say http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/can-cbd-make-sex-better-heres-what-the-experts-say/ Wed, 08 Jul 2020 23:59:41 +0000 http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/?p=1405

Can CBD Make Sex Better? Here’s What the Experts Say

Can CBD really improve your sex life?

Sex changed for Heather Huff-Bogart when she had her IUD removed. The once fun, pleasurable experience now left her “curled over in pain with cramps.” Eager to find a solution to the problem, she decided to try a personal lubricant infused with cannabidiol (CBD) about six months ago, and noticed immediate improvements.

“It helped reduce the pain and inflammation I have during intercourse. My husband noticed that I don’t complain as much about pain, and it’s been beneficial for both of us,” says Huff-Bogart.

While relatively new to the mainstream market, CBD is widely available in a variety of forms — from oils and tinctures to topical creams and beverages. Lately, CBD has also made its way into the bedroom. The substance can be found in a variety of products, all aimed at helping to improve users’ sex lives. These products include:

  • personal lubricants
  • massage lotions
  • oral sprays
  • edibles

But can CBD really improve your sex life?

Here’s what you need to know about the science of CBD and sex, as well as the intimate experiences people have had with cannabidiol.

How CBD can help improve sex

Folks look to CBD for sex for a number of reasons, including pain from chronic conditionsTrusted Source like endometriosis.

Other reasons include:

  • increasing pleasure
  • easing stress and anxiety, including performance anxiety
  • setting the right mood

When it comes to issues of lubrication during sex, Alex Capano, medical director for Ananda Hemp and faculty member at the Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp at Thomas Jefferson University, explains that CBD may help.

“There are so many cannabinoid receptors in reproductive organs and sexual tissue. CBD increases blood flow to tissues, which increases sensitivity and promotes the body’s own natural lubrications,” says Capano.

For individuals like Allison Wallis, CBD helps foster relaxation for sex. Wallis has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a condition that causes joint subluxations and severe muscle spasms. She explains that she’s experienced the benefits of CBD firsthand when she tried a lubricant infused with cannabidiol.

“It relaxes my muscles and allows for much more enjoyable sex,” she says, adding that the lube induces a “feeling of warmth and relaxation.”

“I was surprised by how well it worked. It allowed me to focus on the intimacy of the act instead of my muscle spasms.”

It’s hard to say just how many people are using CBD in the bedroom, but a recent survey of 5,398 Americans from Remedy Review, a website that focuses on CBD and natural health remedies, found that 9.3 percent of respondents have taken CBD for sex. The majority of those respondents said their orgasms were more intense after taking CBD.

What’s more, CBD might just put some people in the mood for romance. Research shows that CBD may be effective at reducing stress and anxiety. That relaxation can, in turn, reduce the distractions and worries that can hinder a positive sexual experience.

“There’s an important component of calming the mind and really focusing on enjoying,” says Capano.

“Especially for women in heterosexual couples, who often experience the pressure of needing to orgasm.”

While CBD doesn’t have psychoactive affects, it may boost your mood by enhancing a neurotransmitter called anandamideTrusted Source.

“Anandamide is our bliss neurotransmitter, and it’s also associated with oxytocin [also known as the ‘cuddle hormone’],” says Capano. “CBD helps increase the natural neurotransmitters and endorphins that we make on our own that ultimately lead to a better sexual experience.”

While early research has CBD enthusiasts excited about its potential for health and sexuality, some experts say more studies are needed before any firm conclusions can be drawn.

“There aren’t any studies on CBD for sexuality, and particularly for using it as a topical application,” says Dr. Jordan Tishler, a cannabis therapeutics specialist at InhaleMD and president of the Association of Cannabis Specialists.

“CBD is wholly ineffective for sexuality. The primary advantage is the lack of intoxication, leading to widespread acceptance [of the compound], even though it is simply a placebo.”

He believes that the focus should be on cannabis, which has “40-plus years of data” on its effect on sexuality.

“For the treatment of sexual-related issues, I tend to recommend vaporized cannabis flower, because we know the THC actually helps with the four stages of sexuality: libido, arousal, orgasm, and satisfaction,” he says.

Sarah Ratliff, a 52-year-old woman who has been using marijuana for pain relief for many years, says she didn’t perceive any benefits from trying CBD oil. But when she tried smoking and vaping cannabis — which has both CBD and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — to improve her sex life, she noticed big improvements.

“It really helps me relax and let go of the day,” she says. “Sex was more intense after smoking, and I think it’s because it helps my inhibitions come down and allows my body to focus.”

However, doctors and health professionals who’ve seen improvements in patients’ sex lives say the anecdotal evidence has turned them into believers of CBD products, despite the lack of clinical trials.

Dr. Evan Goldstein says he’s seen firsthand the positive effect of CBD on his patients.

“These products work. They obviously need to be taken into context and used correctly, but they can enhance the experience and make things a little more pleasurable,” says Goldstein, the founder and CEO of Bespoke Surgical, an anal surgery practice that focuses on the sexual wellness, education, and comfort of the LGBTQ+ community.

“Most of my knowledge of the benefits of CBD is coming from my patients. But as we see this become more regulated, there will be more studies done.”

What to know about using CBD in the bedroom

If you’re interested in experimenting with CBD in your sex life, there are a few things to keep in mind. Here’s what to know about getting started:

Buy a quality product

Don’t just reach for any CBD product. Read reviews and check that a product has been verified by an independent lab before buying it.

You should also be aware that CBD can be derived from hemp or marijuana, and that marijuana-derived CBD products contain THC. The two cannabinoids may work best when used together, producing what experts call an “entourage effect.”

Moreover, while both hemp and marijuana are cannabis plants, they differ in their THC content. Hemp must contain less than 0.3 percent to be legal at the federal level. Marijuana has a higher concentration of THC.

Find your ideal dose

When it comes to CBD dosing, everyone’s different, and there’s no conclusive evidence on exactly how much CBD someone should be taking for certain effects or health benefits.

“Start low and go slow,” says Capano. “Titrate up slowly every couple of days, and if you keep getting increased benefits, keep going. If you add more and don’t feel better or start to feel worse, go back to the previous dose.”

Use CBD before going into the bedroom

CBD doesn’t necessarily work the moment you decide to use it, whether you apply it as a lubricant or take it orally. Plan ahead and start taking it — or applying it — 30 to 60 minutes before you head into the bedroom to give it enough time to kick in.

And if you’re wondering why CBD isn’t working for you, check out some potential reasons here.

6 Myths About Vibrators http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/6-myths-about-vibrators/ Wed, 08 Jul 2020 23:38:07 +0000 http://newfinearts.sexysite.com/?p=1390

6 Myths About Vibrators

Men should know the truth about these handy assistive devices

I’ve answered thousands of sex questions over the years, and here’s one that women ask with surprising frequency: “How can I get my man to welcome a vibrator into our bed?”

Because of the many myths associated with vibrators, rare is the man who can imagine that kind of threesome: you, me, and … it?!

So here are the rumors — and the facts — about vibrators.

Myth: Vibrators are for lonely losers.

Truth: One-third of American women now use vibrators, according to Chicago sex researcher Laura Berman, Ph.D. — and women in relationships are more likely to use vibrators than are single women. Rural, urban and suburban women are equally likely to own them; users likewise span the economic spectrum. The only demographic factor that affects vibrators is education: As it rises, so does the likelihood of vibrator use.

Myth: No real man would ever use a vibrator in partner sex.

Truth: A recent survey by the University of Indiana’s Kinsey Institute shows that 45 percent of American men have used vibrators in partner sex at least once. One in 10 has done so in the past month.

Myth: If a woman needs a vibrator to have an orgasm, there’s something wrong with her.

Truth: ‘Fraid not, boys! Vibrators simply make it easier for a woman to become aroused and reach orgasm. They also improve a woman’s sexual satisfaction.

Women who have difficulty with orgasm are sexually normal. They merely require stimulation beyond what fingers and mouths can provide. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, 25 percent of women are in this situation.

Would you badmouth a carpenter for using power tools? Of course not. Power tools just get the job done quicker and more efficiently.

Myth: If a woman needs a vibrator to have an orgasm, there’s something wrong with her man.

Truth: Not necessarily. Couples should coach each other about what turns them on, and men should make love the way women generally prefer — slowly and sensually, emphasizing playful, whole-body massage that includes the genitals but does not fixate on them. Provided men embrace whole-body sensuality, there is nothing wrong with them or the way they make love — even if women prefer (or require) a vibrator to attain sexual satisfaction.

Myth: Vibrators replace men.

Truth: No way, dudes! Vibrators provide only one thing. They cannot kiss or embrace a woman, warm up the bed, tell a joke, whisper “I love you,” or listen to a woman’s triumphs and troubles at the end of the day. So a vibrator does not replace a man. All it does is supply the intense stimulation that some women like or need.

Myth: Vibrators ruin women for sex without them.

Truth: Does driving ruin you for walking? No, it just gets you to your destination that much faster. Sensitive body parts respond to erotic stimulation no matter what the source. Vibrators bring women to orgasm faster than other types of erotic stimulation, but they don’t change a woman’s ability to respond to anything and everything else. Far from ruining women for sex that does not include them, vibrators actually help women respond to other types of stimulation. Why? Because they enable them to experience their full range of sexual responsiveness — a key reason why so many sex therapists recommend good vibes.
